Roles and Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators:

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

1. Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Java code.
2. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
3. Help in maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization.
4. Participating with the technical team in the execution of projects
5. Preparing the project documentation on its completion.
6. Analyzing defects and fixing it.
7. Maintaining On-time delivery of the projects.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, OOP Design, JSON, Retrofit, Firebase
2. Strong knowledge of Android SDK & different versions of Android.
3. Application development paradigms, memory management, and multi-threading
4. Comprehensive understanding of Android application architecture, Activities, Services, Intents, Content Providers and Notifications, Fragments, Application Development life-cycle, Web Apps, and Web View.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients at all levels and understand requirements carefully.
6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
7. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
8. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
9. Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
10. A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
12. Excellent attention to detail.
13. Good troubleshooting skills.
14. Basic knowledge of MVVM architecture

• Development and delivery experience in iOS, at least 2 apps should be in App Store
• Proficient in Swift 4.0 or later
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Maps, Core Location, Core Bluetooth and Core Animation etc.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Test driven development(TDD)
• Experience with third-party libraries such as Alamofire etc. and APIs Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Proficient in RESTful APIs

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, optimisation
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as xcode Instruments and Shark
• Experience in writing unit and functional tests

• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Strong UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work intuitively and with pixel perfect interfaces. Understanding of Apple’s design principles and human interface guidelines
• Strong CS fundamentals (with competencies in algorithms and data structures)
• Highly accountable and takes ownership, with collaborative attitude, and a lifelong learner.

Brainstorm, contribute new ideas, conceive innovative strategies, and implement solutions to difficult problems

Work with fellow designers and developers in an iterative environment with short and impactful development cycles 

Exploit the most advanced Android APIs and platform features to build innovative solutions to real-world problems 

Build all the necessary tools and infrastructure to enable rapid mobile development 

Work closely with our backend team to interface with RESTful API services 

Work with real-time feedback from our users to make the product better

Skills we are looking for - Android Engineer:

Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.

Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, Kotlin) 

Solid software development background including design patterns, algorithms, data structures 

Experience with MVVM or MVP or Clean architecture 

Experience with mobile data storage with SQLite/Room or other DBs including no-SQL 

Understanding of RxJava, Dependency Injection frameworks like Dagger 2 

Good experience in memory management, performance tuning, and resource optimizations 

Has published at least one app in play store 

Few Good to Haves:

Kotlin experience is a big plus

Experience working in a startup 

Experience with Camera and Google Maps apis 

Published apps in play store 

Github/Medium/StackOverflow presence
